Jack Ma retires as Alibaba’s CEO

The reign of Jack Ma, co-founder of Alibaba Group, came to an end on Tuesday (September 10) with an official announcement of his retirement as executive chairman in the 20th anniversary of the Chinese e-commerce site. The 55-year-old Jack Ma dressed like a rock star in his farewell program. Not only that but also he and his successor Daniel Zhang sang a song titled "You Raise Me Up" in front of the Alibaba employees. This event took place in Hangzhou, China.
According to a report, Jack Ma, who is the richest man in China, wants to go back to his previous profession- teaching. He wrote, “I still have lots of dreams to pursue… I want to return to education, which excites me with so much blessing because this is what I love to do.

Jack Ma led the company from the front for twenty years and turned it from a small start-up into a billion dollar enterprise. So, his leaving and the handover of power to a new CEO, Daniel Zhang, will start a new era in Alibaba Group. It is time to see how long he can carry on the success of this company.

September 10 is also memorable for another reason. On this day, American tech giant, Apple, introduced the latest version of iPhone, iPhone 11, at the Apple Park in California, United States.
